If your project volume is relatively small or used less often, you can find a nearby excavator rental company to rent an excavator suitable for your site. Large projects generally require a 3-3.5t excavator, and small projects 0.8-1t are sufficient. Before renting an excavator, you can ask the local rental company if it can demonstrate the excavator and conduct a supervised demonstration at the site to give yourself some in-depth understanding of the excavator.

Mini excavator cost comparison

The cost of a complete mini excavator imported from abroad (calculated according to FOB) generally ranges from 2,500 to 12,000 US dollars, taking into account the following aspects (excavator weight, crawler expansion and contraction, engine brand, bucket capacity, driving speed and work efficiency etc.), of course, if the project volume is large and you buy a lot of mini excavators, you can ask the manufacturer to give you some discounts. If the project volume is small, you can just buy a separate excavator. Before buying, think about what accessories your project needs. After receiving the excavator, unpack it and inspect it for a week. Look at the warning slogans and labels on the machine.  You will also notice the maintenance information, the machine’s serial number, and the specification sheet. Instructions and manufacturer’s labels, etc., to facilitate ordering parts or asking about other related products in the future. (If not found, you can ask the manufacturer)

If you do not have this information when renting an excavator, you can directly ask the site personnel or administrator, and ask the site personnel whether your project requires renting other accessories.

Operating a mini excavator

Find a level, open place to operate the machine. The mini excavator is stable, but if you have no experience, you need to pay more attention to your own safety, so start with the basics.

We open the left or right lever (a lever next to a semicircular seat), wait until the body is completely seated on the seat, put the lever down, start the excavator (usually the throttle switch is under the left or right foot), and use the key to start, Hold the excavator’s operating lever (like a car’s gear lever) with your left and right hands respectively, and try to control the mini excavator through careful and slow operations (forward and backward, rotation and contraction of the big arm and small arm, crawler, telescopic expansion of the pusher, fast and slow speed Driving, etc.), be familiar with various buttons (fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, charging instructions, etc.).
